Kintsugi Heart Necklace
This necklace is inspired by the Japanese art form of Kintsugi (金継ぎ, “golden joinery”), or Kintsukuroi (金繕い, “golden repair”).
This dainty silver heart pendant features an engraved Kintsugi inspired crack that is filled with gold fill. It embraces the beauty of imperfect things- (“wabi sari”). Kintsugi is thought to honor brokenness and challenges in life — It celebrates the beauty in imperfection and the value of broken things. Like pottery our trials, imperfections and challenges may break us, but they can also make us stronger and more beautiful.
This Kintsugi inspired pendant is paired with an adjustable sterling silver chain. It is packaged with a Christian- themed card entitled “He lives to calm my troubled heart” with the Kintsugi description on the back.
